Connect Open WebUI to Guard.ch
Let Open WebUI open and interact with websites in an isolated cloud browser. Watch live or hand over a running session.
Connect Open WebUI
Use Open WebUI 0.6.31 or later with admin access and WEBUI_SECRET_KEY set, plus a model with reliable native tool calling.
1. Add the connection
As an admin, open Settings › Admin › Integrations and click + Add Connection under External Tool Servers. Choose MCP (Streamable HTTP), paste this URL, select OAuth 2.1, click Register Client and save.
Settings > Admin > Integrations > External Tool Servers > + Add Connection
Copy each value into the matching field.
- MCP server URL
https://api.guard.ch/mcp- Name
guardch- Transport / connection type
- MCP (Streamable HTTP)
- Authentication
- OAuth 2.1
2. Sign in and allow access
Each person signs in themselves: in a chat, open + › Integrations › Tools and turn on guardch, then sign in and allow access on the Guard.ch page that opens.
Register Client > Save
3. Try it in a new chat
With guardch turned on in the chat, send the task below.

Need help?
Do not set guardch as a default tool of a model: the sign-in cannot start in the middle of a request. If everyone has to sign in again after a restart, set WEBUI_SECRET_KEY.
Hand over a running session
Choose “Hand off to an agent” in the Guard.ch viewer and paste the prepared prompt into your assistant’s chat. The session ID in that prompt lets the assistant continue in the same browser. Sign your assistant in with the same Guard.ch account.
