Connect LM Studio to Guard.ch
Let LM Studio open and interact with websites in an isolated cloud browser. Watch live or hand over a running session.
Connect LM Studio
Install the current LM Studio release and load a model that can use tools.
1. Add the connection
Use the one-click install link, or open the Program tab in the right sidebar, choose Install › Edit mcp.json and add this. If the file already lists MCP servers, add only the guardch entry.
Program > Install > Edit mcp.json
Add the entry below. Keep any other servers already in the file.
{ "mcpServers": { "guardch": { "url": "https://api.guard.ch/mcp" } } }Show screenshot

Official example. Use your values above; the example may show a different server or interface version. Screenshot source 2. Sign in and allow access
As soon as guardch is saved, LM Studio opens the Guard.ch sign-in page. Sign in and allow access.
3. Try it in a new chat
In a new chat, make sure guardch is turned on among the chat's integrations, then send the task below and confirm the tool calls when LM Studio asks.

Need help?
If no sign-in page opens, check the JSON syntax in mcp.json and your LM Studio version. If the model never uses the tools, load a model with tool support.
Hand over a running session
Choose “Hand off to an agent” in the Guard.ch viewer and paste the prepared prompt into your assistant’s chat. The session ID in that prompt lets the assistant continue in the same browser. Sign your assistant in with the same Guard.ch account.
