Connect Gemini CLI

Install Gemini CLI and sign in. Use Bash or Zsh (macOS, Linux or WSL) for the command below.

  1. 1. Add the connection

    Run this command in your terminal. It registers Guard.ch in your personal Gemini CLI settings.

  2. 2. Sign in and allow access

    Start Gemini CLI and type /mcp auth guardch. Sign in and allow access on the Guard.ch page that opens.

  3. 3. Try it in a new chat

    Use /mcp list to check the connection. Send the task below and approve the browser tools when asked.

    /mcp

    Open example.com in a Guard.ch browser and tell me what the page says.

Use gemini mcp list to inspect connection errors. If guardch needs sign-in, run /mcp auth guardch again.

Hand over a running session

Choose “Hand off to an agent” in the Guard.ch viewer and paste the prepared prompt into your assistant’s chat. The session ID in that prompt lets the assistant continue in the same browser. Sign your assistant in with the same Guard.ch account.
