Connect Claude API to Guard.ch
Let Claude API open and interact with websites in an isolated cloud browser. Watch live or hand over a running session.
Connect Claude API
You need a Claude API key. The MCP connector is in beta on the Claude API and not available on Amazon Bedrock or Google Cloud.
1. Create access
Open the dashboard to create a key and get a ready-to-copy configuration.
Create a key in the dashboard2. Add the connection
Add this to a Messages API request, put your app key in place of YOUR_API_KEY and send the header anthropic-beta: mcp-client-2025-11-20.
Messages API > mcp_servers + tools
Use this in your server code.
Create a key to copy this value
3. Try it in a new chat
Send the task below as the user message. The response should contain mcp_tool_use and mcp_tool_result blocks for the Guard.ch tools.
Open example.com in a Guard.ch browser and tell me what the page says.

Need help?
If the API rejects mcp_servers, the beta header is missing or outdated. If an mcp_tool_result has is_error set, check the app key in authorization_token.
Hand over a running session
Choose “Hand off to an agent” in the Guard.ch viewer and paste the prepared prompt into your assistant’s chat. The session ID in that prompt lets the assistant continue in the same browser. Sign your assistant in with the same Guard.ch account.
